Hello! I asked waaaay back in last year for anyone who was willing to help out at the Student Roleplaying and Wargaming Championships - our university society (VAGUE) is a bit short on wargamers at the best of times, and now that Ive got every one of them running categories, Im left short for 'general helpers' and ringers.

I have odd numbers for a few games, so I need players to be the extra 'ringer' player in the following: Bloodbowl, Necromunda, Warmachine/Hordes, Warhammer Fantasy Battle.
On top of this I will need people to generally be assistant GM's in the Big categories with 20+ players in, setter uppers, and its always usefull to have potential spare ringers as there'll always be 'that one person' who drinks too much at the Saturday night paty and doesnt make his game on the Sunday! Lending of terrain to the Uni for the weekend is also very well recieved.

The event takes place around Manchester Metropolitan Students Union on the weekend of 18-19th April, with a social on the Friday and an event on the Saturday night which involves fancy dress, challenges and other foolery. The wargames half of the thing will be in Sugden sports Hall next door to the Students Union, and Im the 'Wargames Organiser'. If you want to help out, you must be able to confirm that you -will- definately be there from the Fri evening, as you will have to have passes for the uni buildings and a T-shirt done.

It promises to be a really good laugh with the events, so even better if your getting in free and hopefully getting some games in (and a t-shirt). The rewards will be pint shaped, natch. Like I said, at this point I need definate 'will be there's' as jobs are being handed out. Even if your just available one day there will be lots of setting up on the Friday etc

Also, consider this an open invitation to come down and play 40k at the union with VAGUE on Sundays - We start from 1pm, but we only have 2 boards, weve only really been playing 40k as everyone is caught up in playtesting for all the roleplaying which is happening at the nationals.
(Sunday is normally wargames and boardgames only, but with a 30+ RPG's running at any one time over the weekend, its a lot of adventures to play through.)

Thanks for the replies. I added the dates to the first post - didnt realise I missed them out! Its 17th-19th of April.
Friday will be setting up, which is a big job. The games start first thing on the morning both days (by 9am dice should be rolling), and end 6ish on Saturday and 5ish on Sunday. Ideally if your going to be a ringer for us, you can come along on Friday when were setting up so I can meet you/you can see the place, or if not early on Saturday as Ill doing the first game matchups at stupid'o'clock before Ive even had breakfast, as Teams check in throughout Friday night.
If you going to be a general helper/possible spare if needed, then the games running are Bloodbowl, Necromunda, Battlefleet Gothic, Warmachine/Hordes, 40k and Fantasy. So you will know one or more of those games to a nigh encyclopedic level. Again, I cant promise you'll get to play, only if we get odd numbers for whatever reason. I definately have odd numbers for Necromunda, Bloodbowl and Warmachine right now though, anything else would mean there was an emergency (someone not turning up etc).
Also, terrain. We always need more terrain, anything you can lend to the University for the weekend is well recieved.
