Wouldnt be a bank holiday without a mega game happening somewhere so Jonny, Ian, Pete, Adam Neil F and Myself got together 4000 point each to play at the hogbunker (using my new desert table as well!)

I was using Chaos, Ian VC, Pete Tomb Kings
vs
Jonny LizardMen, Neil Empire and Dwarves, Adam Brettonians and High Elves.
There is a battle line drawn up this is a re-enactment of the napoleonic war at Borodino but using WHFB Armies (*Neil did all the planning for this so all the credit for this goes to him.
The Undead and Chaos Armies have to overrun and control the strategic locations, each location is worth a certain amount of points, rather than the normal 6 turns though the game is for 10 turns. Magic is done with each player picking an enemy player for using their dispell dice, so each general gets his full normal dispell dice, but can only use them against his chosen General, (These do not have to match up both ways, but in this case they actually did, with Myself matching up against Neil, Jonny against Ian and Pete against Adam)
The french (I.E. the chaos and undead) go first which was agreed before deployment.

Deployment was done via hidden deployment, using 2 blankets on a line across the center of the table, this worked quite well although was quite interesting to set up.
So we new roughly how the table was laid out, but no idea where the enemy was located.

Summary:
4k of VC and 4k of Chaos attacked a unit of 20 temple guard + slann + oldblood, they were losing so they were reinforced by 500 points of blood knights + vamp and 500points of khornate knights + exalted (who somehow turned up behind me?! My scouts are obv crap)

Took em long enough but to everyones surprise the temple guard lost lol (but not before I'd killed rich's dragon riding chaos lord, huzzah!).

A slann and 3 skinks managed to do a reasonable job of holding up a 17 or so powerdice vamp magic phase thanks to a combo of cube and becalming cogitation. Though the slann didn't cast much as ian had more dispel dice than I had power dice!

A unit of Saurus cav plus their 6 attack hero went on a mini rampage but were outnumbered about 5-1 so were eventually pulled down.

The units who were holding the objectives (i.e. the ones which couldn't take any part in the game until the rest of they're army were dead) sat in their buildings for 9 turns before getting charged from every angle in the last turn, woo!

In the meantime 4k of TK got held up for a while by a unit of phoenix guard and then some bret lances but eventually beat 4k of elves/brets and 4k of dwarves/empire. (What happened adam? Ah yes it was that panic check on the bret bus wasn't it).

Ummmm, think that's about it? Took 12+ hours! Ouch...
