Well took the daemon cav to total war (1750) over the weekend. only 4 games :S, but tabled 2 people, won a bore draw mission and lost a kill point mission to the worst dice ive ever seen, oh and only got the right wave once lol.

I took:
Jugger herald with strength and rending
5 juggers with full command
2x6 fiends with might
3x6 pbs
20 nettes
3x10 flesh hounds

First game- multiple objectives, spear head.
Vs guard:
Command Squad
x3 vet squads in chimeras
platoon with lots of lascannons
2 collosus's (collosi?)
2x2 russ

I got the wrong wave, so started with nettes, pbs and some puppies. Hed castled (as they usually do vs daemons) so 2 pbs landed and ran to objectives at the other side of the board (where they stayed all game unmolested). The other thress squads landed near his right flank near 2 russ, chimera vets and some guard squads. Leaving the other russ, vets and squads over the other side struggling for los. All my scatters hit bar 2, and the scattered 2 inches and 3 inches. win. Everything ran in to cover (the same cover the guard squads were in at times..i was that close)

He lit up with everything. after multi laser shots, first rank fire second rank fire guard squads, 4 battle cannons 2 collosus (s6 no cover saves) and numerous special weapons and various kitchen sinks hed killed 2 nettes 5 puppies and a pb. awsome.

My turn most everything bar the crushers and a fiend unit turned up. these landed near the other flank behind walls ready to mob his other flank next turn.

My hounds charged the 2 russ, the daemonettes charged the guard and pbs charge another guard squad. rulted in one dead russ and a battle cannonless and stunned partner. and a dead guard squad.

More fire power and move cover saves later, about 5 daemonettes gone, a wound or 2 on fiends and a few dead pups. my save rolling is on fire.

My turn, fiends turn up (crushers dont :S) everything charges stuff. some puppies have worked there way round the back and go in to the collusus, fiends multuicharge a vet chimera and command squad. other puppies charge the russ. daemonettes charge the other russ with no battle cannon. pbs get killed by guard squad. everthing else gets killed (bar a russ thats mearly stunned)

His turn. lots of vets pop out and kill a unit of puppies and wound the neetes some more and well as killing the odd fiend.

my last (meaningfull ) turn. crushers turn up. lots of things charge. pupps take out a chimera. fiends a guard squad and a vet squad remenant (id killed five when i took out thier chimera, and then they were pinned to boot ). other fiends = another chimera and enclose it so the occupants die when i destroy it. pups finnish off stunned collosus and nettes scamper back to claim an objective.

his last turn. he get his last vet squad out and kills off a pup squad. an few more wounds on fiends

the last actual turn sees the crushers charge the last battered russ. and 2 x fiends and 2x hound squads charge the last chimera, vet squad, guard squad and his command squad. all combats see everything wiped out to a man. game over. 1750 win.

Second Game - pitched battle kill points
Vs a nice guy, who just had to put up with my screams of universal angst as karma gods kicked me square in the love spuds.

He has
Lash prince
3 oblits
3x5 summoned daemons
10 marines with slannesh mark with stuff in rhino (i dont remember what is was as he never had to use it)
2 x8 noise marines with sonic weapons and doom siren in rhino
x2 defilers with lots of close combat weapons.

I wont lie. i looked at the rhinos and the small daemon pack and thought that this would be a walk over.

I was given the first turn, he castled.

My wrong wave turned up. pbs hid in the oposite corner. nettes and 2 x10 hounds scattered waaaaaaay to close to his lines. but didnt die.

His turn, he lashed the nettes and doom sirened them, plasma cannoned them and then shot a few combi bolters at them (hed lashed them close to the far left flank to do so which meant a buliding was in the way to the rest of them, killed about half ( wheeew!!) He shot everything else at doggies and killed a few, battle cannons scattered. At this point i thought i might be able to get somthing as his shooting hadnt been all that and i was in charge range of some easy kill points and could bog the daemon prince down for a bit. .

My turn, one unit of puppies and my crushers turn up (not the spiders which would have been dam usefull) doggies almost scatter in to a defiler :S.
I charge the daemon prince with the half strength nettes and 2 rhinoes with 7 dogs. one of which hadnt moved. the other i needed 4's. What happens? i weapon destroy the stationary rhino and immobilize the moving one...sigh.. the nettes charge in a do nothing and the prince hits and kills for nettes after i fail all saves, then then fail all 4 no retreat saves too.. double sigh

His go. he shoots two battle cannons at my crushers. 3 wounds, no invulnrable saves made. He then shoots somecombi bolters from the rhinos (they had 2 each) as well as 4 shots from sonic weapons out the top from each squad. so 11 ish s4 shoots. this somhow kills 2 crushers, wounds the character and leaves the last 3 crushers on one wound each!!!! he did (and i failed to save EVERY) 5 WOUNDS from 11 bolt shots.. ffs... triple sigh. the oblits finnishe off the doggies attacking the rhinos. 7 doggies. 7 wounds. 7 failed saves. at this point im begining to be worried.

My go. right lets get some kill points.. . blood crushers hurtle in to the oblits while the herald goes after a defiler in an attempt to keep the crushers from being counter charged. all i need is those last wounded crushers to try and go through some stuff to wrack up some kills. some pups siddle round the back and charge the third stantionary rhino. The hounds blow a weapon off (last game id taken out three moving lemun russes!!!!) the crushers kill one oblit, in return they do 2 two wounds, i save neither. the herald hits the defiler, hitting with three and rolling trip ones to penetrate, in return the defiler does a wound, which i fail to save and so i take one wound for no retreat, which i fail to save....i think at this point my opponent is just apologizing every phase.

Next turn he gets stuff out and hoses various doggies some of which are in combat with the rhino still (i think id stunned it too), some survive and he charges in his summoned daemons. In a brief moment of glory the hounds take out the rhino AND the charging daemonettes after no retreat rolls, yaaaay, 2 kill points.. the only 2 i get this game mind you. In the combat the last crusher does some wounds and leaves an oblit on a single wound who fails to hit back.

My turn some doggies and 1 lot fiends turn up ( so even tho i need 2+ i still dont have all the things that can ACTUALLY punch through armour well), using the icon thats left to not scatter they hop in to cover and pray.

My combat the crusher does nothing and the oblit does two wounds. i fail both saves... yes, if you read back and check.. the crushers.. have made 0.. as in ZERO saves all game. not one. doggies charge a rhino and apparently just use the back wheel to do a piddle.

His turn everything opens up on the puppies and fiends. everything dies. i cant really remember but i seem to remember not a lot of saves made.. at this point it might have been due to the tears of frustration.

My turn. my last unit (fiends) turn up (and then only cos i didnt need to roll), scatter baddly and end up in the open, everything in range opens up. he kills 2 and wounds one

In what is the last turn, the only things i can charge after a pants fleet roll (guess what.. it was a one) i can only charge some stuff on his left flank which has to be the daemon prince, but i manage to get some daemons and even a rhino in a multicharge...i figure kill some daemons, pop the (not moved) rhino and kill the prince with a few attacks and no retreat cos ive won the combat... a small hope maybe. He makes all but one of his invulrable saves, the rhino escapes unscathed and the unit gets butchered to a man. game over, ive been tabled.

3x11/12 boys in trukks
battle wagon (kill cannon and lots of shootas)
30 boys on foot
5 kommandoes
3 killer cans with grotzookas
lootas wagon with boom gun

Everything has big shootas and klaws in it, maxed out.

So he sets up 30 boys right in the middle as close to my objective as he can get (so far on my left) our objectives are facing each other on corresponding table edges.

I go first. And get the wrong wave!! again.

So down comes 3 hounds units and 3 pbs's (i wanted the nettes in the first wave this time to deal with the 30 boys); every thing lands so so and makes sure its in cover and puppies within charge range of the 30 boys but not with charge range of them.

His go, and for some reason hes left alot in reserve, apparently he wanted to see when my reserves came in first. He gets his kommandoes which come in from the side and lots of trukk boys with a mek. he hurtles forwards but not in range of anything. The 30 man unit opens up and kills a few puppies.

My go, only one unit of fiends turn up, these then scatter badly on to my hounds and end up back in reserve :S. 2 units of hounds charge in to the 30 boys while with a bad fleet roll the other unit is just out. The combat won by me and a few more boys die to no retreat, Theres about 15 boys facing off vs 12 hounds.

His turn, some nobs in a battle wagon as does some grots in a battle wagon, the grots/wagon sit on the objective (immobilizing its self doing so) boys charge in to the ongoing combat while other shoot my unengaged hounds, as does everything else that can (1 battle wagon big shoota and 2 from the kommandes) a few die and the boys pile in, with no frag the hounds make short work of them, they run and get caught.

My turn, fiends and nettes turn up. netts near my objective and the boys/puppie combat. the fiends within stiking distance of the battle wagon/trukks ( i just know they are gonna try and contest later) the boys/puppies combat drags on, both units looking a little bedraggled now (tho note to self, puppies do seem to be able to hold thier own to grinding combats with choppa boys... worth noting, i always put em down to a one shot charge wonder) Fiends charge the battle wagon and blow a few weapons off and the puppies turn out to be out of range to charge anything usefull so fleet back in to cover.

His turn the rest of his stuff turns up, more trukk boys charge in to the ongoing combat and the unengaged unit in the middle. .The two boys charges destroy the remaining puppie units, but they dont go with out a fight. On the left the nobs get out and charge along side the kommandoes to maul the fiends (teh mech with them runs off elsewhere), but not before the fiends kill the kommandoes. i hit and run out.

My turn, the crushers and last pbs turn up yay!! 360 points of crushers so far this weekend havent done anything remotely usefull. this game is no different. both units land near his objective to contest/clear it. My fiends charge the boys with mech that took out the puppies and the mauled fiend unit charge the battle wagon (everything else looks to far away to attempt a contest bar his vehicles and the units im about to mob with. nettes shuffle a bit. The combat see the battle wagon stunned and the boys unit dead.

His turn, the nobs charge my fiends (the bigger unit) and his shooting opens up on the crushers, pbs near the objectives and my mauled fiend unit. the fiends die to shooting and the pbs and crushers take a few wounds. In the combat phase the fiend/nob combat is bloody but no clear winner, i hit and run out again. He also for some reason shoots and then charges the big nettes unit with the remains of the 2 units that had been killing my dogs. they all die and i consolidate towards a trukk.

My turn, lots of charges while the 2 pbs units that are near my objective make concentric circles round the objective (as trukks cant tank shock). Again the battle wagon escapes any serious damage, while the nettes blow up the trukk, killing alot of them. the crushers roll bad difficult terain and slink towards the orks objective, while the 3rd pb unit hides behind a wall within 3 inches of the same objective.

last turns sees him waaghing and kiiling off the fiends after its apparent he hasnt rolled enough to hit the outter ring of my pbs at my objective, grotzookas killing off lots more nettes, the battle waggon tankshocking the pbs killing a few but not getting close enough. It also sees some more crushers getting boomgunned and the last netts taking out a couple of cans before succumbing to the last one and the meck who'd hanging about.
