I had a bit of an ephinay this week.

I was in a certain well known high-street bookshop and had a browse through 'The Emperor's Will' a collective of works by John Blanche which has some awesome JB ministorium and mechanicus art in there. I got home and decided to tidy away my black templars which I had been painting and to have a reorganisation of my bitz cupboard, when the idea struck.

My BT army is a couple of units short of 2000pts and I didn't fancy buying any more. However surely by pouring plastic glue into my various bitz boxes and giving them a good old shake, a fairly attractive small adeptus mechanicus army could be produced to be used an an allied force! Hopefully as cash is short at the mo, very few models will need to be bought and will help diminish the space used up by all the bitz bozes

I've yet to properly decide which army list to base the army around but it really should be shooty with lots of mech/walkers etc, so that put me firmly in the realm of necrons or imperial guard. Any help by you horrible lot in this regard will be greatly appreciated.

I'm also going to attempt, and i must repeat, ATTEMPT, to try and replicate some of the JB art for some of the units

The first target on my list simply had to be the famed 'Servitor on a stick'

Not sure what role he'll play yet, but it'll be fun anyway

So here are my efforts so far:

A few additions to be made to it yet, namely more cabling and a way to create the drones carrying the stick about

I also had a plastic wraith which wasn't having any use in my VC army, and as it's everyones favourite convertible miniature I had to cannibalise it.

The torso i was thinking of is from Chaos terminator with a section cut out the back and replaced with an inverted SM shoulder pad, the hair extension will sprout out of this.
Ghoul arms and perhaps sculpted legs. I was going to use banshee ones but mine are metal and would rather not use them nor buy the plastic one especially for it.

My sculpting is unpractised and pretty poor, so will have to see how it turns out.

The other guy is quite easy. A chubby battle pilgrim with some repositioning of the feet and a couple of hand swaps, and some gubbins glued to his back, not much more needs to be done to him other than the robot legs which i'm cobbling together now
