However since playing the new Regiment of Renown and the fact that things seemed (other than ogres) more balanced.
and things like costing and armour actually work. Its almost what Mordheim should have been. Well if they every remade it, could be like.

Campaign Rules

Points for the Glory

There are three types of points, Game points, Bonus points & Campaign points. Each game you play, you can earn Game Points, and as you build up Game points you earn Campaign Points. There is a set maximum of 2 games for each week, however they roll over if you don't use them. The Campaign will run for a minimum of "...." weeks.

GAME POINTS
3pts for a win
2pt for a draw
2pt if you leave the game before the end (unless there is a agreed winner)
1pt for losing

BONUS GAME POINTS
+1pt if to take out over half of the enemy warband models.
+1pt for underdog (to a max of 3 maybe) note you still get the normal underdog bonus. (lets people who start late, catch up!)

CAMPAIGN POINTS
These are the points that win you the Campaign! You can achieve these throughout the campaign by earning game points.
10 Game points = 1 Campaign point
There are other ways to gain campaign points, via special scenarios, or achieving army specific goals.

Notes
Each Army will have there own special Goal, (we can all decide on that!)
We can have special games to get campaign points.
And we can things like Assignations to get campaign points.

I would keep RofR as uncomplicated as possible during the game to be honest. I love the idea of adding advances for non-Leaders but I would be cautious (and keep record-keeping down) by saying you can increase one stat on one model by +1 after each game and no model can have a second advance. Regarding injuries, what about they are worked into the existing advances table?
Say, if the leader dies, it will have a minus on the advance roll, and of course any pluses for the killing it did.
Zero and negative values should not reduce characteristics but give special rules.
For example, assuming a -8 penalty (just above the average so to increase chances that if no killing is done the advance roll will result in negative values):
0: Hardened gives Immune to Psichology
-1: Leg wound gives Random Movement
-2: Bitter enmity gives Hatred for the army that killed him
-3: Horrible scars gives Fear
-4: Schocked the leader now Fears the army that killed him
-5: Nervous condition gives Always Strike Last
-6: Madness gives Frenzy (1-3) or Stupidity (4-6)

As for other models advancing, Dogs of Wars could roll on the same table not adding the kill bonus but still being allowed to increase characteristics by 2 points. The rest of the band should not add kill bonus and should be allowed to increase characteristics by 1. Of course if they die they get the minus.

The campaign point system is really good!

I do love the idea of this victor, however i'm finding it really hard to include, - the bit I really like is the experience and injury bit of mordhime...
My current thinking is to use the mordhime set of after game sequence.

ie:
Characters and unit advances - with only one tweek of new skills could be the dogs of war skills from the regement.
Serious injuries chart as normal - however with the fact that you now need 50% to run away, we may roll on this to much...??? any thoughts? Maybe Victor You could rewrite it?!!?
Income - I need help with this, as buying models has changed, and the costing system is very different!

The only other thing that's I wanted to change was the way you chose your characters, fitting it with mordhime thinking.

I was thinking:

Lord
You mustselect one model to be a Lord. He can have a free 25 points of magic items.
He will gain the Inspiring presence from the Rule on page 107 of the Warhammer Rulebook.
Your Lord also gets +1Wond
Hero
You can also select two models to be Heros. Each Hero can have a free 10 points of magic items.
Notes
By Upgrading your model to a lord or hero, you automatically get the upgrades of a unit champion of the same type. This is Free.
The Lord or heros may have any normal upgrade their unit type is allowed or the unit champion would be allowed, however this is NOT free and require the normal points needed.

I don't think you should use the words "Lord" and "Hero" as the names, it will cause confusion with the Warhammer character types. Leader and Veterans (from RofR) work okay don't they?

I really like the idea of what you are trying to do but I'm worried that you may be adding too much complexity.

The beauty of RofR is how stripped down and simple it is - just Warhammer with a few restrictions and slight changes. I know this makes it a little bland when compared to Mordheimy but it also adds a lot of flexibility it terms of army book options. There is next to no after-game sequence time as it stands and the 30 minute time limit could easily be doubled if we add too much from Mordheim.

Maybe if the things we bring in from Mordheim can be stripped down and simplified a bit - I know this will loose a lot of the character but it will make for a faster and less breakable system. The changes we made for our campaign day actually broke RofR (ogre Leadbelchers should not be allowed!), so we know we have to be careful...

Thats actually what Im trying to do! I find RofR to simple, and Mordheim to complicated! Think of this like, mordheim but simplified! But This will be spread over several weeks, not just a day, so It can take a little more time!

Thats my aim! make it simple, but add the continuing factor of mordheim. Your help would be greatly appreciated!

I'd also go with the 8 game limit Tim.

I did like the idea of non-leaders getting advances too, but only one per game and only +1 on each stat possible. If it's the player's choice which "henchman" gets which boost it cuts out the random roll required for it too.

assassinations are just a way of geting victory points, under my campaign rules. Just a bit of added fun really.

What about victors Injury table... Tho I cant get my head round how it quite works.
My worry is that people will roll at least 50% of their warband on it every game.
